CMA TSA is Best in REGION
UPDATED:
CMA's Technology Student Association was notified this morning (Feb. 16) that they had been named 'Best in REGION' for the Midwest Region, in the Verizon Innovative App Challenge.

"The Midwest region was made up of Pennsylvania, WV, Kentucky to Kansas and all of the Great Lake states," noted TSA Advisor Shane Koranda. "The kids have come up with a great idea and I'm really hopeful that the Verizon Engineers will see that and pick them Best in Nation."

"On Friday the 23rd, our team will Webex with Verizon Engineers and talk about the nuts and bolts of their proposal. They we'll have to wait until Monday, Feb. 3 to see if we, Illinois or Kentucky are chosen as the Midwest Champion and given the title of 'Best in Nation'. If chosen for that, the students will gain an additional $15,000 grant and also get to work directly with Verizon Engineers to bring their app concept to reality!”

Welcome to McAuliffe K-8 Academy
Christa McAuliffe was a public school teacher from New Hampshire who was selected to become the first teacher in space.  Her energy and love for students and teaching made her an outstanding educator.   The possibilities are endless as to how we can incorporate her character traits,  love of science, and helping students make real life connections with the skills they are learning in our classrooms.
For a more-detailed biography of Christa McAuliffe, click on the Bio link on the left side of our page.

Christa McAuliffe is located just north of Pawnee on 143rd Street East.
