CMA Announcements
Thursday, September 10th was a busy day during lunchtime at CMA!  Candidates had been decided upon, posters were made, and speeches had been given.  It was finally time for the third through eighth grade students to vote! Sedgwick County Election officials brought five election booths to CMA for our students to cast their votes.  Thanks to Mr. Helton for organizing such an awesome opportunity! Congratulations to the following winners!

McAuliffe 3rd - 8th grade students who are interested in learning about LEGO robotics can participate in a series of exciting Saturday workshops.  You can sign up for as many of the classes as you would like but please note the prerequisites.  The workshops will be held in the 7th Grade Science room (E-5).  There is no cost, but you must register.  Space is limited to around 20 students per workshop, and spots will be filled in the order online registrations are received.

BEGINNER LEVEL - this workshop is aimed at students who have never worked with LEGO Mindstorms robotics kits in the past. It will help you understand the parts of an EV3 robot and the basics of programming them. The two beginner workshops are identical in content. (Just choose your preferred date.)   August 29 OR September 12

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - students will program their robots to use sensors to respond in different conditions. You MUST have previous experience, or have attended a beginner workshop. The two intermediate workshops are identical in content. (Just choose your preferred date.)   September 19 OR September 26

ADVANCED LEVEL - this workshop will focus on more difficult programming concepts to accomplish various tasks. You MUST have previous experience on a team, or in an intermediate workshop to attend the this workshop.  October 10
